Lipo-B

Lipo-B is a premixed lipotropic injection combining methionine, inositol, choline, and vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) — roughly 25/50/50/1 mg per mL (~216 mg/ml total, matching the concentration on the certs). It is dosed by volume (typically 1 mL once weekly, IM or SC), not reconstituted, and is used in a research/wellness context to support fat metabolism, liver fat handling, and energy alongside diet and exercise. It is NOT a peptide, GLP-1, or standalone weight-loss drug — it does not directly cause weight loss on its own.

Best for

People pairing a diet-and-exercise fat-loss effort with lipotropic ('fat-mobilizing') nutrient support, or those wanting a B12 + choline/methionine energy and liver-support shot. Frequently stacked adjacent to GLP-1 or GH-secretagogue protocols as a supporting metabolic injection rather than a primary agent.

How it works

A lipotropic ('fat-mobilizing') nutrient combination. Methionine is a sulfur amino acid that supports methylation and helps prevent fat accumulation in the liver. Inositol supports lipid and glucose signaling and fat transport.

Choline is essential for phosphatidylcholine synthesis and hepatic fat export (VLDL), helping the liver clear fat. ' Together these act as cofactors that support the body's own fat-handling machinery rather than acting as an appetite-suppressing or GLP-class drug.

In the research literature

Premixed liquid — do NOT reconstitute. Standard dose is 1 mL (some providers use 0.5-1 mL) once weekly, intramuscular into the upper arm, thigh, hip, or gluteus; subcutaneous into the abdomen or thigh is also used. Inject slowly over 20-30 seconds and rotate sites to limit irritation. Some protocols run 2x/week during an active fat-loss phase or every-other-week for maintenance. Can be run continuously; any benefit depends on a concurrent calorie deficit and activity.

What to expect

No acute drug effect. Some people report an energy or mood lift within a day or two (largely the B12). Any fat-loss support is gradual and only meaningful in the context of a sustained calorie deficit and activity over weeks.

Pairs with

Diet and exercise (the required context for any benefit), GLP-1 agonists (semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide) as a supporting metabolic/energy shot, and GH-class fat-loss agents like tesamorelin. Also commonly paired with general B12/energy protocols.
