goodtides Companion
The goodtides Companion app is a personal peptide dose tracker, reconstitution calculator, and lab-certificate viewer, with an optional AI chat, Ask goodtides. This policy covers the app only. Purchases on goodtides.shop are covered by the website privacy policy.

All tracking features work with no sign-in. Your protocols, dose log, vials, inventory, supplies, body weight, and bloodwork values are stored only in your device’s local app storage. They are not transmitted to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
Like any online service, our servers keep short-lived technical request logs (kept up to 90 days). The app also sends anonymous counts. When you open it, or come back to it after half an hour or more away, it tells our server that a device opened the app, whether that device is signed in, which kind it is (the iPhone app, the installed web app, or a browser tab), and whether this is its first open ever, today, this week or this month. The first time each day you use certain parts of the app (the calculator, Ask goodtides, Stock, Learn, bloodwork, your protocol or log, or logging a dose), it says which part. A small marker saved on your device remembers what has already been counted, so the same open or use is normally counted only once; the marker itself is never sent. Our server only adds these to daily totals, with no IP addresses, device IDs, or other identifiers attached. The counts cannot identify you.
Notifications without an account. Turning notifications on is a separate choice from creating an account, and you can do it without one. When you do, your device gives us a delivery token (an anonymous address the operating system uses to reach that device) and we store it with your time zone, so a message arrives at a reasonable local hour, plus which of these messages we have already sent and a single flag for whether you have finished setting up. That record holds nothing else — no protocols, doses, vials, lab values, name, email, or IP address — and it is not linked to any of them. We use it only to remind you to finish setting up, at most four times in your first week, and never after you have set up a protocol. Turn notifications off inside the app (Profile → Reminders) and the record is deleted immediately. Turning them off only in your device’s system settings stops the messages but cannot tell our server, so that record is instead cleared the next time a message fails to deliver, or when you turn notifications back on and switch them off in the app. If you later create an account, the anonymous record is deleted and reminders move to your account instead.
Signing in (email plus a one-time code — no password) enables cloud backup and sync. We then store, keyed to your email: your protocols, dose log, vials, inventory, supplies, weight entries, bloodwork values, settings, and — if you enable reminders — a push-notification token. This exists so your data survives a lost phone and syncs across your devices.
When you open the app. While you are signed in, the app also tells our server each time you open it (or come back to it after half an hour or more away). We keep, linked to your account, the date and time you last opened the app and which days you opened it in the 60 days up to then — not what you did in the app. We look at it account by account and in total, together with your dose log, to understand how many people are actively using the app — for example, how many open it without logging a dose. It is never used for ads, never sold, and never shared outside goodtides. It expires on its own about 60 days after you last open the app, and is deleted sooner if you delete your cloud data or your account.
If you have purchased from goodtides.shop with the same email, the app can import that order history so your stock starts pre-filled. Store purchases themselves are governed by the website policy.
Reminders are optional and off by default. If you enable them, our server sends push notifications through Apple’s or your browser’s push service using your device token. Notification content is minimal (e.g., a dose is due). Disable them anytime in the app or in iOS Settings.
When you upload a lab PDF, it is parsed in memory and immediately discarded — the file is never stored on our servers, and the extracted values are saved only on your device (or in your cloud backup if you are signed in). The app never sends your saved lab values to any third-party or AI service, and Ask goodtides never attaches them. If you type a lab value into an Ask goodtides message yourself, that message is sent to our AI provider as written.
Ask goodtides is a chat that answers questions about peptides, mixing and storage, what a bloodwork marker means in general, and how to use the app. Answers are generated by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, PBC, using goodtides' own catalog as its reference. It works only when you are signed in, and only after you agree to the notice shown before your first message.
AI answers can be wrong. They are research information, not medical advice, and they are never a substitute for a licensed provider. If you have chest pain, trouble breathing, a severe allergic reaction, or another emergency, call 911. If you are thinking about suicide, call or text 988 in the US.
Cloud-backup data is kept until you delete it or ask us to. Technical request logs are kept up to 90 days and never contain the text of your Ask goodtides messages. Ask goodtides message counters expire within two days of your last message. The record of when you opened the app expires about 60 days after you last open it, and is deleted with your cloud data. Anonymous counts contain no personal data and are kept for about 13 months. All transport uses HTTPS/TLS; account access uses signed, expiring tokens. Our infrastructure runs on established hosting providers, and Ask goodtides on Anthropic, each acting as a processor on our behalf.
The app, including Ask goodtides, is for adults 21 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. Ask goodtides is designed not to give dosing information to anyone who says they are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding.
If this policy changes materially, the app will say so before the change applies to you, and we'll update the date at the top of this page. A change that sends your data somewhere new — such as a new AI feature — will ask for your permission in the app first. Questions or requests: hello@goodtides.shop.
